ATTENTION COSTUMERS: Input needed for documentary idea help

Hey guys.  So, for my Strategies of Self final, since doing the fictional narrative I want to isn't feasible in the time I have left, I decided to do a documentary on costuming.  

However, my professor made it clear that this has to be a documentary and not a portrait piece.

The difference between the two: 

• A portrait piece is like "This is what costuming is.  Here are people who costume.  Look how cool this is."
• A documentary actually presents a conflict of something.   

My professor was trying to help prompt me along with figuring out what conflict there is in costuming.  So I've been putting some deep thought into it, and this is what I've come up with. 


Most, if not all, costumers are narcissists.
