#1 - How the hell can a baseball game go that long? Seriously; that game went on FOREVER. I'm just glad I wasn't on the east coast watching it...

AVATAAAAR. omg omg how far along are you? My friend and I have been forcing our new roommate to marathon on it in the hopes that she'll be Avatarded like us. XD
Season 1 is fun times, but season 2 is when it starts getting just plain badass.

My friend's kids made me watch the first three episodes with them last year. I liked it, but never found time to catch up. Now I have. :D

Is Avatar really that good? I really don't want to get hooked on yet another show, but if it truly is...
Also, re: All Star Game. Yeah, that was ridiculous. But the funny thing is there was an even more ridiculous game this year. The Padres and Rockies went something ridiculous like 23 innings. They even got to say, "There's the seldom used 21sth inning stretch!" I actually don't mind absurdly long baseball games... WHEN THEY'RE REGULAR SEASON GAMES. I think having the All Star Game "count" is the STUPIDEST decision any professional sports commissioner has ever made. Ever.

Avatar is amazing. No lies, no bs. Even if you don't have the time, it is worth it 1000%. Completely orginal and funny and awesome and ... I can't even really describe it. It's good. It's so good there isn't even a word for it.
I can easily recommend it to you, and know you'll like it, even though I don't know you. I have that much faith in the awesomness that is this show.

Most people give Avatar a glance and write it off as your average anime-style kids' show; but it's actually very complex and well-written for being on Nickelodeon. The characterization and the dialogue just blow me away. The animation can be a little wonky, especially in the first season, but it definitely improves as it goes on.
If I didn't have to leave for work, er, five minutes ago, I'd give you a more detailed pimping, but alas. :P
