You've never been in fandom before. In fact, you probably aren't sure what it is... Just don't ask us to be gentle, okay?

8-14: Fandom Saint - You're a saint! You've done so little wrong in fandom! ... In fact, you're kind of boring. Go out and write some smut already!

15-21: Repentant Sinner - You've made your mistakes in the past, but you're ready to let that go. With some good fic or fanart, you'll be in the fandom gods good graces again. Now get on your knees and show me just how sorry you really are.

22-28: Middle Way - You're a walking contradiction. For every good fic and thoughtful review there's a flame and a self-insert to balance it. You're a fence-sitter, neither good nor bad, though you have the potential for both. So make up your damn mind already!

29-35: Bad Influence - You're certainly not the worst that fandom has to offer, but your fandom soul is more than slightly tarnished. In fact, you might be responsible for the corruption of others. But you probably don't feel sorry about it.

36-42: Damned Sinner - Where am I? Where are we going? And why am I in this fandom shaped handbasket? ... Well, at least we've got really good smut here.

43-49: Fandom Demon - You've done it all, been around the fandom block, and baby, you don't even regret it. Satan could learn a thing or two from you.

Wal Mart is evil. And I don't mean because of their corporation stuff or whatnot.

The fact that they have GOOD movies in the $5 bin. Which compels you to buy a LOT of them.

I limited myself to 4:

Dodgeball
Legally Blonde
Stand By Me
Platoon

There were so many other movies in there that I was torn over if they were worth $5:
The Aviator
A River Runs Through It
Legend of the Fall
All Dogs Go to Heaven
The Thin Red Line
and a lot more...

Then I found Wal-Mart's two packs for $7.50.

They had a two pack of Glory & Gods and Generals, but I wasn't sure if I should get it...

But I did find Monster's Ball and O.

God I'm an addict.

Harry Potter & Clone Wars

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3i3accb70086cea8f5428ea8fb4bfd950f?imw=Y

NO HARRY POTTER UNTIL NEXT SUMMER?!?!?!?!?!?

And what's odd is that I'm happy about it. o_O

I was freaking out over HBP because I didn't know when Prague was going to get it, or if Prague would have it in English. That and I couldn't keep up my tradition of being the person who camps out all day about it.

I was at the theater when I found out and Jeremy was there too. I passed it on to him and he had the same reaction I did (lots of yelling and swearing).

So Clone Wars! I spent 16 hours in line (just because we had to be first, damnit). There was SOME drama, but it had ebbed away by 5pm, so it was good.

Things that made me laugh/wince: Dan (Linda's bf) was doing Clone Wars Obi-Wan. With TK armor. *facepalm*

And then the dude that came in the $10 clone halloween costume. You know, the single bodysuit with pieces of oddly shapped rubbed on it with the kid's clone mask?

I enjoyed it. I went in with the mentality that it's not a movie, it's just a pilot episode for the series, and really liked it. The only thing that really bugged the crap out of me was the music. During the show, it was cool. But the opening and credit music, the re-engineering of John Williams theme... No. Just... NO.

One thing I want to see: Obi-Wan not be cocky and always right. I want to see him have a bit more emotion than "I'm calm. I'm in control. Ha ha, I out smarted you." You know? Anakin and Ashoka got pretty good emotions down. Obi-Wan? Not so much.

Padme was tolerable!

OH! And Rex is like my new hero. Seriously. He and Cody both. <3

I'll echo the rest of the world when I say "Zero the Hutt... WTF?"

Though I do have one question. When Obi-Wan and Yoda are talking about pairing up Anakin and Ashoka, Yoda says something about how Anakin needs to learn how to attach and then learn how to let go as well. Am I missing something, or does it sound like Yoda KNOWS Ashoka's going to die.

And I know others found it annoying, but "Sky-Guy" is a tolerable nickname. I WOULD think that Ashoka would have a BIT more respect of a Jedi Knight... but she seems to match Anakin perfectly.

Since I haven't done a Life update in a while...

Life's been busy. :-P Best way to sum that up.

Let's see:

Today is my last day at work. It seems creepy. As soon as I walked into the door, Jen, Patricia, and Domi pulled me into the back office to hand me my final check (holy crap never seen that much on one paycheck here), and then the hugs all around started. I've got about 7 & 1/2 hours left on the shift, then I'm free as a bird.

Except I get to come back tomorrow to dump off my absurdly larger-than-I-thought stack of shirts (12?? When the hell did I end up with 12 Plaza shirts?) and clear out my locker (aka toss my 2 pairs of gross shoes, toss my coat into the regular-use rack, and figure out what to do with my hat).

4 years of my life to this place. Damn.

Tomorrow will be spent packing. So far, I've gotten my DVDs packed. I think tomorrow will begin packing books, and beginning to purge my clothes into 4 piles: Pack to storage, pack to parent's place, trash, and Good Will. I hope i can purge enough to good will that all my storage clothes can go to my parent's as well.

Still trying to sell my bed. If Gregor doesn't hurry up and decide, I'll see if my landlady wants it anymore, then move on to craigslist.

None of my damn textbooks sold (1 did), and I missed UCSD's sell back books thing. I might have to resort to Amazon when I get home to just see what will sell, or if I'm desperate to get rid of them, donate to the library or something.

I'm still waiting on my visa. It's been almost exactly 8 weeks, so I'm getting anxious. I know I still have 3 more weeks, but I hate this waiting. :-P

Thursday is the Clone Wars aka the San Diego Fan Group Wars. Oye. I just had a horrible thought; I extended an invite to the 501st to join us in line. Part of me is wondering is someone is going to exploit that, since some of "her people" have mentioned joining us in line, so I'm really suspicious. *sigh* Why can't she just leave?

All of this weekend is devoted to moving and packing. I need to harass someone with muscles to come help me move my desk, bookshelf, and dresser. I also need to go to Wal mart or Target to get a bunch of bins to put costumes and stuff into to deliver to people.

Next week... well, move back to my parents. I'm having my going-away bash next Friday night, then Fan Force meeting & laser tag on Saturday, which I have to cut short to zoom back to my parent's place for their anniversary dinner. My sister is flying in really late Friday night; we'll see how long this lasts before we're at each others throats again. :-P

After that... last minute shopping and packing, then relaxing. I need to go buy some "nicer" casual clothes (geeky t-shirts just won't do over there, I think) and get a few good pairs of shoes, and some warmer clothes too. Also need: power converter and plug adaptors. I think Radio Shack has those packs of like every kind, which will be great since we already have 5 countries scheduled to visit, not to mention whichever ones we end up going to (i.e. if Michelle and I ever do get to go to Paris).

We have John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl on the 30th. I don't know how I'm going to stand that: driving with my mother and 2 of her friends, and telling them that I need to be there early to get the tickets and distribute them to my people... oye.

Tuesday the 2nd, we drive to LAX. My flight leaves at like 9:45pm, so I think I have to be there by like 7pm. Yay international terminal, I haven't seen you since 2005.

So what's after that?

The 3rd and 4th are our two days in London. Guided tours, then hopefully meeting up with some of FanForce UK.

The 5th we fly to Munich and stay there for I think 2 night. We then drive into Prague on the 7th, and on the 8th begin orientation and 2 weeks of intensive Czech.

I'm slowly getting better at my simple Czech phrases. I can actually remember "hello" and "I don't understand." (Ahoj and Nerozumím). Still working on "My hovercraft is full of eels" (no joke; on my website, it's got all the normal phrases then this one).

That's it, so far. Yay life.

Liz and I drove up to Hollywood yesterday to go see Les Miserables in concert. Minus me being dumb and not packing a jacket, it was really awesome.

The cast was amazing. Lea Michele (Spring Awakening) belting out beautifully as Eponine, John Lloyd Young (Frankie in Jersey Boys) sang amazingly as Marius, Brian Stokes Mitchell was just epic and perfect as Javert ("Stars" seriously made me misty-eyed), and J. Mark McVey continued his role as Jean Valjean flawlessly.

And Rosie O'Donnell bailed on the show, but her understudy was great. She sounded so much like Rosie that we kept sitting there going "... it SOUNDS like Rosie, but it looks NOTHING like her..."

OH! And people are greedy bastards. By the time we got there (30 minutes before!), they were sold out of programs. So afterwards, we walked the entire bowl (the ENTIRE bowl), and didn't find a single program left behind. They were only $1, so you would THINK someone would toss theirs, but Noooo.

Overall, it was fun.

Today is my 2nd to last day of work. AHHHHH!!

I leave for Prague in 3 weeks!

Where to start:

Not much. Checked into hotel. Fatal Delay #1 happened. A dude committed suicide on Amtrak so Scott's train was an hour late. Got table set up, crazy Preview Night, nothing big happened.

Fatal Delay #2. A truck exploded all over the freeway and caused stuff to catch fire so everyone was stuck in traffic coming from Los Angeles. I really don't even remember what I did on Thursday. Walked the floor, took pictures of people in costume. Went to a Disney Storyboarding panel and got to watch a clip from Bolt. Dinner at TGI Fridays.

Rebel Legion breakfast, Rebel Legion photo, first time in full X-Wing costume. Pain in the ass. One of my pockets began ripping off and my leg flares won't freaking stay on. 14 of us in pilot walked the floor (got a lot of "HOLY CRAP!" and "OH MY GOD!" and "HOLY SHITS!" as we walked by). Inducted Mary Franklin and Steve Sansweet as honorary Hazards. Got a picture in the Harold and Kumar prison (yay orange jumpsuits). Found a private (empty) meeting room that we invaded to reenact the briefing photo (and there was a water cooler!! We abused that all weekend). Got in line with Shawn for Avatar panel.

Shawn and I waited 2 hours for the Avatar panel. It was SO much fun. I'm glad I watched Sozin's Comet before, because we couldn't hear anything. Big thanks to jainamsolo for getting us seats. The fan art contest was hilarious, and the costumes were great. Though hands down the most awesome thing was their joke, the "premiere" of Book 4: Air. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLI1AvPjUeQ

The fan art contest was cool. I'm trying to find their honorable mentions, but all I can find was the top 10: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1kfzQ_BThc&feature=related.

We also got totally awesome t-shirts, and Reynalyn got me an AWESOME knit White Lotus beret that she made. :-D

So Saturday and the Hall H line of DOooooom.

Heroes was up first. We watched the ENTIRE first episode of Season 3! I know who killed Nathan Petrelli, and when we all saw it, everyone was like "ZOMG NO WAI!" The entire cast was there. Memorable Q&A moments: One of the first girls was nearly blind, and she told Milo that even though she can't see the show completely, it sounds amazing. She remarked that she was a huge fan even though she's never actually gotten to see him. So Milo runs off stage down to her and lets her get right up to him so she can see him, then bursts into tears and hugs him.

I'm a skeptic, but if she was lying, she's a bitch. Smart, but that's douchy.

Other cute moment: Little kid going "You're the best villain ever, Silo!"

Lost: It was funny because Damon was giving off weird ass props to people for their questions and the props related to the question. (By weird ass, I mean stuff like an autographed dry erase marker, Dharma beer, a picture of Nicky and Paulo, and a T-shirt that said "I asked a question at the Lost panel about Richard Alpert and all I got with this T-shirt" after a woman asked a question about him.) Though the most awesome gifting was a dude that was dressed and looked exactly like Hurley got a jar of Dharma ranch dressing.

Oh yeah, and Michael Fox showed up. The panel of course told us nothing.

Disney and Pixar: We got to watch more of Bolt (30 minutes of footage) and it looks like it's going to be great.

Up is the new Pixar film, and it looks like it's not going to disappoint. It's about an old guy fulfilling a promise to his dead wife that they would visit South America, so he ties his house to a ton of balloons and floats to South America. Sounds cheesey, but looks awesome.

What was next... ah yes, TERMINATOR!

Okay so, a lot of my fears about this movie have been completely removed. It's going to be set in 2018 when John starts actually taking over the resistance. He meets a teenage Kyle Reese (in the trailer, he actually says "Come with me if you want to live." SQUEEE! The T-600 is the primary robot, and Skynet's not fully in charge yet. It just looks epic. Aaron Nolan (co-writer of the Dark Knight) is writing it, and it just looks awesome. The entire cast (minus Christian Bale) was there. Soo good.

The panel itself was a blast. They pulled three people out of the audience: a girl dressed as an awesome T2 Sarah Connor, a guy dressed like the T-1000 who walked up to the Q&A and just help up a picture of John Connor and asked "Have you seen this boy?", and then this asian guy who did the most awesome Arnold Impression. The panel was a lot of fun.

What else was there... Death Race is an R-rated Mario Kart. Though we did make all 6500 people in there sing Happy Birthday to Jason Statham.

So then, The Mummy! The entire cast showed up; it was so cool. Brendan Frasier talks a lot, Jet Li doesn't talk more than a few words. Michelle Yeoh is awesome. I've been dissing on the Yeti's in the trailer, but the clip they showed us was of the Yetis, and they were actually cool. Still hate the recasting of Evelyn.

Some boring stuff followed... A new Sam Raimi horror film that was gross, something else, then The Land Of the Lost (meh panel).

So then the last one I sat through: Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans. I'm excited. It's a prequel, not the last part of the series with Selene and Michael. Instead it's about the Lycans and their enslavement by the Vampires, and it covers the relationship between Lucian and Sonja (Viktor's daughter). So Michael Sheen and Billy Nighy are back, as well as Shane Brolly (Kraven) and Kevin Grevioux (Raze), who is apparently also the writer/creator. It looks great.

Liz and I got tickets to Hamlet 2 (I found the group of Sexy Jesus' walking around the Con floor, got my picture with them, and got free tickets to an advanced screening). The movie is NUTS. Really good, but it's just NUTS. Pam Brady (writer), Andrew Flemming (writer/director), and Steve Coogan (star) all came to the screening at the Pacific Gaslamp. It was awesome. Go see this movie.

Yeah, nothing happened today. Just boredom.

I'll have photos up later. It was fun, but I'm glad it's over.

And yay! No work until Wednesday.

In anticipation of selling the darn thing, my mom took some close up shots of the detailing on this dress. Most are blurry so I'll need to retake them, but this gives an idea of how crazy we went on this dress.

The ladies at my mom's sewing and dressmaking school were stunned by it and wanted to use it in their August fashion show to show off their work (since they did the sleeve embroidery). They also said that I need to start my initial selling price at $1000. o_O I don't think it's worth that much, giving how inaccurate it is, but it gives me room to come down, at least. (And some non-anal person who wants a LOTR dress but doesn't know the difference might buy it...)

SO anyways, here you go.

The Dark Knight was one of the most emotionally draining films I have ever seen.

You held you breath and covered your mouth in fear and anticipation of what was about to happen. You had no doubt that the joker would do it; you just weren't sure how much the director would show.

You jumped out of your seat in fear and surprise. Several times.

You moved to the edge of your seat watching with eyes wide open and heart pounding.

And the entire time you sat there watching one of the most brilliant performances ever by a man, you felt a growing stab in the heart because he was gone.

Bravo, Mr. Nolan. Bravo.
