While, yeah, I missed the Team back when they had Weir, I felt they'd had some enjoyable episodes lately. But I think the main writers screwed themselves over. I was starting to feel the weight of formula in the episodes (especially in "Ghost In The Machine" where Rodney is always has his "OMG NO" face on and everyone is demanding is fix shit - though we've all heard that "The Shrine" is said to be one of the best. episodes. ever *fingers crossed*).

Now I'm getting over the shock of this news, I'm going to focus on THE BIGGER ISSUE.

No more SGA fandom as it is. How sad is that?! How long after the SGA finale will fandom stay together? How long will iconmakers stay interested? Authors keep writing?

Another good question: what the hell are we going to watch now? (Okay, we've got the next season of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, a few specials for Doctor Who - with the lovely Tennant but without his Awesome co-stars - and a toned down Torchwood. And a half season of BSG, of course. Who knows if the forthcoming Caprica will be scifi enough?!

For those on my flist asking what SciFi is going to be playing other than Ghost Hunters or wrestling, there's Caprica. But it's looking like a soap opera. I need to see more of the scifi aspect with robots and I'm there.)

College life is pretty scary so far. I already got homework from my english class, heh. My english teacher is weird, she talks TOO much and she talks only about herself. I think she likes hearing herself, I could tell. :-| Well, I have a semester with her! AH!!! I know two people in my  class, haha, thankfully. They're people from Alameda High and I like them. In this class, I'm going to have write essays, lots and lots of essays... YAY!!!!! haha, sike. LOL. Today, I had to write an essay about someone important in my life, I did pretty well, heh. I dunno. I wrote about SOMEONE. :-)

Life is great, I'm pumped for college and today was my first day. It's pretty great, my web page class doesn't have anything going on right now which is boring.

I feel so weird being in college. There's so many people around and stuff, haha.

Leroi Moore, of my all time favorite Dave Matthew's Band is dead.  My husband and I danced  to Steady as We Go at our wedding, we've listened to the music on our car trips in CA and MD, we even had a 'theme' song for Israel.  I can't hold back the tears... I don't think any music has moved me quite so (except John Williams).  I'm going to go listen to my favorite songs now...

Still a few more days of vacation, need to enjoy them!

I'm actually tempted to go back and do this for all the other Star Wars films... or hell, some of my other fannish loves too.

Yay! I finished my Snowbunny Padme in time for two Clone Wars events on Saturday and Sunday. I'm quite pleased with it. The only thing is the hood I made was just so uncomfortable that I ended up making like a do-rag and pinning my cloak hood to the rag. I also felt big in some of my pics but the reaction to my costume was awesome. Everyone loved it! This is sure coming with me to D*Con.

The Clone Wars events differed from each other quite significantly. The one in Concord was extremely busy and we had over 30 troopers out there. The one in Hickory was very very small with six troopers. Both were good though. We always manage to have a good time. I will say the one in Concord did give me a sneak peak of stuff at D*Con. I got some strange requests. One guy wanted to pick me up and another wanted a kiss. lol. Just some crazy stuff.

I just saw that Edward James Olmos is now a D*Con guest! Wow! And Michael Hogan, Tigh makes me laugh so much.  God, if I miss the BSG panel again because of the friggin parade then I'm going to be pissed. In fact, if the BSG panel is after the parade then screw the parade, I'm not missing BSG.

So, I'm assuming the D*Con schedule has not come out yet, correct?
