So I made it safely yesterday to
laura_josephsen's. Last night, she, I, and her hubby watched Twilight. There is no going back now. LOL
As my sister defended of the film, I did enjoy the music and the cinematography (more the latter than the former). I actually even liked the little "moral" at the end that life is a harder choice than death (aka, it's better for Bella to be a living teenager than an undead vampire). Except that I know Meyers TOTALLY DISREGARDS that small scrap of morality in Book 4! So... what's the point?
Anyway, the MSTing was terrific fun.
Today, Laura helped me make pajama pants. Except I totally disregarded common sense and assumed that, since I'm usually XL in anything store-bought, I would be XL on a pattern as well, and they're rather huge and goofy-looking on me. But I'm not that concerned because I was mostly learning to not be afraid of the sewing machine. And the pants are functional, if not exactly the most beautiful piece of tailoring ever constructed.
Now, I am teaching Laura and Ryke to play Settlers of Catan, and we are having lots of fun now that we're past the initial "This game has too many rules and it's frustrating me!!" phase. I went through it myself. ;-)
In last week's poll, you named the Star Wars In Concert tour as the SW event of the year.

Title: "Rustling the Robes"
Fandom: Star Wars
Characters: Anakin/Palpatine
Prompt: #1 - Finish
Word Count: 1932
Rating: R
Summary: See icon. *snort* Okay, well, except it's set prior to that. And Palpatine isn't standing.

Notes: Written for my beloved
ansketil_rose for this year's
jedi_mistletoe holiday fic exchange.
( Crack + smut = win! )

Erica Durance is playing Maid Marion in a terrible SyFy ROBIN HOOD SEQUEL!!!!!!!!
!!!!
!!!
LOL
The guy playing Robin is cuuuuuuuuute.
Haha, Lois with a British accent. Erica's doing her "soft Lois" voice + slight accent. It works pretty good. Though it's very silly. I just see her and think, Lois, just punch everyone in the face and continue to be snarky and badass and everything will be okay.
Also, I keep thinking of that season 6 episode Arrow, where Ollie gets Lois to dress as Maid Marion to his Robin Hood at Lex's Halloween Ball. Or Masquarade thing. Whatever it was.
ETA: Oh, it's a ~*~re-imagining~*~ not a sequel. MY BAD.
SPEAKING OF BAD... holy crap this is hilarious.
ETA2: OMG, Julian Sands, AKA JOR EL from Kandor is in this too! I think he's the Sherrif? He's a bad guy anyhow. lol.

I accidently stumbled upon this show because it just happens to be one at 6AM on Sunday on W...but I'm very glad I did.
Higher Ground.
I looked it up because the first face I saw on my screen was of the lovely Jewel Staite. I may want to watch more because it also stars Kandyse McClure and Hayden Christensen.
Awesomeness!
In LESS awesomeness, my shoulder hurts even worse this morning than it did last night. Super lame.

New hi-res HBP studio promos of Ginny, Tom Riddle, Draco and Narcissa Malfoy have been released via BWO and Oclumencia, which can be seen below.

I got Heat Wave by "Richard Castle" out of the library.
I'm debating whether or not to read it. On one hand, LOL "RICHARD CASTLE'S" HEAT WAVE IS ACTUALLY A BOOK, BRB LMAO FOREVER.
*cough*
On the other hand...
Did I just check out self-insert Mary Sue Real Life Fanfic?

Incidentally, I saw Sherlock Holmes the other day. It was enjoyable. The acting was great, but the plot you kind of had to disregard. I'm not well-versed in Holmes, but I'm pretty sure that its central conceit was not very Holmesian.
I was, however, amused by how circular Holmes and Watson and House and Wilson are becoming. House and Wilson are based on Holmes and Watson, and I'm pretty sure that in this movie they based Holmes and Watson on House and Wilson. And on and on and on.
